In the app
- Every button is announced to screen readers (VoiceOver and TalkBack) with a clear name, and says if it is selected or off.
- Large tap areas, at least 44 points, even where a button looks small.
- Text contrast of at least 4.5:1, by day and by night.
- Text grows with the phone's setting, and Bani has its own larger sizes too.
- High contrast, reduced motion and a black-and-white mode, in Display comfort.
- Hebrew right to left and English left to right.
An automatic check goes over every main screen, light and dark, on every update.
On the website
- Headings and labels that work with screen readers, and a "skip to content" link.
- The whole site works with a keyboard.
- Alternative text for images. Videos are silent, and the family film has a pause button.
- Reduced motion for anyone who asked for it in their device settings.
Level
We work to meet Israeli Standard 5568 and WCAG 2.1 level AA in the app and on the website, and we keep testing and improving.
Not perfect yet
- In the statistics charts the bars are close together. Any tap on a chart picks a bar, and the title says which one.
- The videos on the website are wordless demos without captions.
